During the year, The Wirral Development Trust undertook a range of enrichment activities. These activities are developed with the Trust’s aims and objectives in mind to provide cultural and educational experiences for the community of Leasowe.

Every year we hold annual events: Family Fun Day, Halloween Party and Christmas Party with a visit from Father Christmas!  However in 2015 we added even more events and trips for the community.

Easter Egg Hunt

For the first time we took the activities away from the Millennium Centre and out in the community taking in some of the other organisations and buildings in Leasowe. The first egg hunt was a family activity with an Easter twist; part scavenger hunt, part race. Here are some of our entrants:

Leasowe Library

In Feb 2015, we were asked to facilitate a worker for the library.  Leasowe Library is such an important part of the community of Leasowe and has enabled adults and children to access computer facilities and reading support. This vital community resource also helps deliver cultural and educational events for all.  In July 2015 we launched the new and extended Leasowe Library Provision.

Family Activities

During the half term holidays our volunteers put on a number of family activities, ranging from picture frame making, bingo, cake decorating and kids dressmaking!
